In person participants will have special opportunities such as lunch conversations with our keynote speakers, an opening session reception, and meet & greet times.

Safety Protocols

Your safety is a priority for us. We've developed protocols intended to provide as safe an environment as possible.

When inside Church buildings, masks are strongly recommended for all, regardless of vaccination status. While attending Leadership Institute, you can expect our staff and volunteers to be masked, to encourage minimal personal contact and to limit items being touched by multiple people (including in our food service).

We support state and local COVID-19 guidance for vaccinated and unvaccinated people, including with respect to isolation and quarantine, and self-exclusion when experiencing symptoms. Please consider your personal situation when deciding whether to attend the In-Person Experience for Leadership Institute.

Airport & Transportation

Take a look at some tips for getting around Kansas City during your stay.

The nearest airport is Kansas City International Airport (MCI), which is located approximately 45 minutes from the church.

Church of the Resurrection does not provide transportation to and from the conference. You may rent a car at Kansas City International Airport or check their website for shuttle services. Uber and Lyft are also readily available in the metro area.

Do you still have openings?

There is no capacity limitation for the Online Experience. The In-Person experience is limited to 500 participants. Openings are still available at this time.

If I participate In Person, do I still need to log in to the Online Experience platform?

Yes! As an In-Person participant, the Online Experience platform (mobile app) will be a valuable tool for you throughout and after the event. We invite you to follow instructions which will be emailed to all participants to log in to the Online Experience platform or download the mobile app. You will have access to the schedule, maps of the building, Breakout Workshop room numbers, speaker biographies and sponsor information through the app. You will also have the opportunity to connect with In Person and Online participants via Discussion Threads and Direct Messaging on the app.

After the event, you can log in to the Online Experience app or website to access the On Demand Replay of any of the General Sessions or Breakout Workshops.

Can you accommodate a dietary restriction?

You will have the option to choose a vegetarian meal or a gluten sensitive meal during the registration process. While we recognize that there may be other dietary needs, we are unable to accommodate any other dietary restrictions at this time. Please plan accordingly. We appreciate your understanding.

Will childcare be provided?

While children are a high priority at Church of the Resurrection, this is an adult training event and childcare is not available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We began in 1990 as a church for thoughtful people who were not actively involved in church. It was a place where they could become followers of Jesus Christ, grow in their faith, find meaningful relationships, and be sent out each week, inspired to serve God by serving others.
